The Age of Love, a film by Steven Loring, is a touching and often funny look into the lives of seniors who are searching for love. The documentary follows 30 older adults in Rochester, New York who sign up for a Speed Dating event which is only open to people between the ages of 70 and 90.
The film explores the participants’ yearning to be seen and understood as people worthy of love and relationships. Its inspiration came when Loring’s father passed away after 50 years of a wonderful marriage. Suddenly alone, his “still vibrant mother” was “left struggling to face a new life.”
Join us for a free screening of the movie and panel discussion with former Wisconsin Governor Martin J. Schreiber and Film Producer Steven Loring on March 1, 2018 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the UWM Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts.
