Information is Power

Dear Caregivers,

Stowell is committed to supporting our Care Team on the front lines with timely, accurate information. Accurate information is power in a health care crisis like Covid-19.

Covid-19 is in Wisconsin and spreading. You may even know someone who has symptoms, confirmed positive for Covid-19 or someone who has required hospitalization.

Have you heard or read about “hot spots” on the Northside of Milwaukee? A hot spot is an area with a high incidence and a growing number of people testing positive to Covid-19. Why the Northside? Possibly because it is a densely populated area where social distancing is challenging and a shortage of resources.

If you or someone you know develops symptoms:

  1. They need to not go to work or out in the community,
  2. They should isolate from the rest of the family in a separate room, with their own eating utensils and personal care items.
  3. You may need to help them report their symptoms to their health care provider; and
  4. If caring for someone with Covid-19, personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in providing care.

Covid-19 is stressing our health care system and health care workers like yourselves. It is imperative that you take good care of yourself. Keep in touch with your care team: Care Coordinators, Care Manager Assistants, and Care Managers. You can also contact any member of the executive team with questions, concerns, and support.
